STC offers classes and camps year-round for all ages and levels of experience.
Youth & Teen Classes
Students ages 6 to 18 explore in an active and creative manner stories and characters from Shakespeare’s plays, study the fundamentals of acting and design, and contribute their thoughts and ideas to performances for friends and family. All classes are led by classically trained professional actors and educators who aim to inspire students’ physical, intellectual, and artistic development.

Adult Classes
All of our classes are taught by working theatre professionals, award-winning actors, and STC artists and staff. When you take a theatre or acting class at STC, you have access to the most successful and generous theatre artists in D.C. whether you receive individual feedback in an acting lesson, have a conversation during a break, or make a professional connection over email.

Camp Shakespeare
Every summer, STC gives students between the ages of 6 and 18 the chance to dive into the world of one of the most celebrated playwrights in history: William Shakespeare.
